I am in Canada  and do grow lots of tropicals  including Brugmansia.

Of course they have to be brought into the house over winter.

My youngest daughter had very good luck with a Sanguniea this year.  SHe seems, like yourself, to have a real green thumb.

I have never had much luck with the Sanguniea.
